The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has made arrests and rescued victims after an attack. Two suspected thugs were taken into custody and two victims were rescued. The victims, who were on their way to a football pitch, were attacked and injured with knives and cutlasses.

The Corps' Counter Terrorism Unit intervened and rescued the victims during a routine patrol. Two suspects, aged 23 and 20, were arrested at the scene.
