Federal Government plans to address unemployment and underemployment, particularly among young people and first-time jobseekers. The National Bureau of Statistics reports an unemployment rate of 4.3 per cent, with approximately 9,870,000 people unemployed.

The underemployment rate has also declined. To tackle this issue, the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises Programme is offering free training in business process outsourcing for 50,000 young people.

Further details on this initiative are available, including information on the programme's implementation and financing by the Bank of Industry and the African Development Bank.
