Flight disruptions were widespread in August 2026. A total of 4,765 flights were delayed, and 36 others were cancelled. The highest number of disruptions was recorded by Air Peace and United Nigeria Airlines.

The regulator's report shows that 15 carriers operated a total of 7,961 flights during this period. Nearly 60 per cent of these operations were affected by delays. Air Peace had the most flights, with 1,864, and also recorded the most delays, at 1,330.
