Capital importation has increased significantly, rising by 101.8 per cent to $16.41 billion in the first five months of 2026. This growth was largely driven by Foreign Portfolio Investment, which saw a 114.42 per cent increase. The share of Foreign Portfolio Investment in total capital importation has expanded to 95.12 per cent. In contrast, Foreign Direct Investment and Other Investments have recorded declines.
