Prince Adewole Adebayo, the Social Democratic Party presidential candidate, has outlined his strategy to transform the power sector. He plans to use decentralised generation, renewable energy, and local manufacturing to drive this transformation. Adebayo aims to expand electricity generation to 75,000MW by combining solar, gas, and hydroelectric power, and rehabilitating existing hydro stations.

His goal is to move beyond low power generation and create an electricity system that can support large-scale industrialisation. According to Adebayo, the country's electricity requirements have outgrown previous generation targets.

Further details on his plan are available, including his comments during a recent interview.
